Package: modconf Version: 0.2.44 Severity: wishlist
When the user tries to insert a module for an unconfigured ISA-PnP card, the driver installation will fail (perhaps mysteriously to the user). After a module fails initialization, the suggestion should be made that the user install the isa-pnp module if the hardware in question is an ISA-PnP card. "The module failed initialization. Check the hardware resources (I/O, IRQ) and if the card is a ISA PnP card, ensure that you have installed the isa-pnp module first." -- System Information: Debian Release: testing/unstable Architecture: i386 Kernel: Linux dbz 2.4.21 #1 Fri Jun 13 14:49:38 CDT 2003 i686 Locale: LANG=en_US, LC_CTYPE=en_US Versions of packages modconf depends on: ii modutils 2.4.21-2.1 Linux module utilities ii whiptail [whiptail-provider] 0.51.4-14 Displays user-friendly dialog boxe -- no debconf information -- To UNSUBSCRIBE, email to [EMAIL PROTECTED] with a subject of "unsubscribe".
