Yes.  It is annoying.  Is there any way for hw-detect to find out if
the module is compiled into the kernel, or to find out that the HW in
question already is detected?

This is reported as bug #200467, "Hardware detection should not fail
when all required modules are included in kernel", and I have no idea
how to solve it properly.
