In order to boot on my iBook, I used the following yaboot.conf
fragment:
image=/home/kraai/dev/debian-installer/build/tmp/floppy/vmlinux
label=install
initrd=/home/kraai/dev/debian-installer/build/dest/floppy-initrd.gz
initrd-size=8192
root=/dev/hda4
Does adding "root=/dev/whatever" help?
