Hello: Thank you very much for the tips to read "Chapter 10 - Technical Information on the Boot Floppies" of the "Installing Debian GNU/ Linux 3.0 For Intel x86" guide! That was exactly what I was looking for.
Meanwhile, I have also installed the "boot-floppies" package. I tried "make check"; unfortunately I could not install all packages into a "sarge" system. Fortunately, there was no problem on a "woody" one. Next, after making a slight modification of the config file, it failed to do "make release" because it could not find the appropriate pcmcia-2.2.20 module (./kernel.sh). May I know where to get the related packages that works for the "boot-floppies" package? regards, -- Rahmat M.
