On devfs, these are named /dev/md/0 to /dev/md/255, while on "normal" /dev/ they are named /dev/md0 to /dev/md255. The major number is 9: % ls -l /dev/md/0 brw------- 1 root root 9, 0 Jan 1 1970 /dev/md/0 I tried to use this patch to add support for this, but it fails on the first device, producing '/dev/md' instead of '/dev/md0'. It works for the second device, producing '/dev/md1'. I suspect the logic must be extended to handle devices where zero as the minor number should be included in the device name.
