OK, the problem appears to be, that apt-get is
linked against /lib/ld-linux.so.2:

libm.so.6 => /lib/libm.so.6 (0x40141000)
libc.so.6 => /lib/libc.so.6 (0x40162000)
/lib/ld-linux.so.2 => /lib/ld-linux.so.2 (0x40000000)
This seems to be the reason for the errors given in this
bug log. Well, what to do?
I've tried this:
# chroot /chroot/sarge /usr/bin/apt-get update
which works fine.
Should we replace the weird apt-get call in postinst
with a chroot'ed call to apt-get?
