wireless, /dev/hd*

I just tried a boot floppy image from tfheen's repository, and I have a few questions:

1. any hope for pcmcia wireless cards during install?
2. going to a shell, I see that there's no /dev/hd* how can I get my devices to be found? I was hoping to be able to use this floppy to restore my corrupted reiserfs partition.
