I am trying to install Woody (3.0r1) on a Toshiba Satellite 1115-S103 laptop. I would like to use the 2.4 kernel.
When I select the boot method "bf24" the cd is accessed and the kernel begins to load. The load proceeds normally then hangs at the point where the following messages are displayed: ... Loading I2O Core - (c) Copyright 1999 Red Hat Sofware I2O configuration manager v 0.04 (C) Copyright 1999 Red Hat Sofware loop: loaded (max 8 devices) Compaq CISS (v 2.4.5) <hangs here> At this point I must power down are restart.
