Hey Everybode, Iam trying to setup a Debian firewall on a HP VE Vectra. When trying to setup the ethernet card I select the following module: 3c590/3c900 series (592/595/597) 'Vortex Boomerang This machine has 2 NICs: 3com 3c905b-tx 3com 3c905c-txm For some strange reason the NICs cannot be installed, I've already tried to get one out and try it only with one NIC, but this also doesn't solve the problem. I get the following error message: Warning: /lib/modules/2.2.20-idepci/net/3c59x.o symbol for parameter debug not found /lib/modules/2.2.20-idepci/net/3c59x.o: Init_module : Device or resource busy> Hint: insmod error can be caused by incorrect module parameters including invalid IO or IRQ parameters /lib/modules/2.2.20-idepci/net/3c59x.o: insmod /lib/modules/2.2.20-idepci/net/3c59x.o failed /lib/modules/2.2.20-idepci/net/3c59x.o insmod 3c59x failed Installation failed. When I choose to not install modules from cd but from the internet Debian does find eth0 and receives a IP address from the DHCP server. Does anyone know how to solve this?????
