People have been gently grumbling about this for ages, probably ever since LC was first switched on. Nobody has done anything about it because there didn't seem to be anything that could be done. If tweaking TERM makes it work, that's great and we should probably make that change for 3.0r1. For the initial release of woody, we should just leave it alone.
