Package: task-laptop Version: 3.77 Severity: normal Hi,
please consider removing avahi-autoipd from task-laptop. NetworkManager (which is typically installed by a desktop environment) and systemd-networkd have built-in IPv4LL support, so does dhcpcd, which is supposed to replace isc-dhcp-client in trixie. As a result, I don't see a good reason to keep avahi-autoipd installed by default via task-laptop. Avahi upstream even considers removing avahi-autoipd altogether [1] Michael [1] https://github.com/avahi/avahi/issues/467#issuecomment-2511280295 -- System Information: Debian Release: trixie/sid APT prefers unstable APT policy: (500, 'unstable') Architecture: amd64 (x86_64) Kernel: Linux 6.12.3-amd64 (SMP w/16 CPU threads; PREEMPT) Kernel taint flags: TAINT_WARN Locale: LANG=de_DE.UTF-8, LC_CTYPE=de_DE.UTF-8 (charmap=UTF-8), LANGUAGE not set Shell: /bin/sh linked to /usr/bin/dash Init: systemd (via /run/systemd/system) LSM: AppArmor: enabled Versions of packages task-laptop depends on: ii anacron 2.3-40 ii tasksel 3.77 Versions of packages task-laptop recommends: pn avahi-autoipd <none> ii bluetooth 5.79-1 ii iw 6.9-1 ii powertop 2.15-3 ii wireless-tools 30~pre9-18+b1 ii wpasupplicant 2:2.10-22 task-laptop suggests no packages. -- no debconf information
