The former is the version that shipped with 12.0; it's *not* the same as the latter, which is symlinked as 'current'. The former has the following sha1sum: 8b8a7e8b1fc127e8704a63e54a93e84b985ccd4a and does exhibit the problem you're mentioning (and it's normal for older images to behave that way).
