Hi I have already sent this mail to Philip Blundell, so I am now sending it to the whole list, as the text seems to be ready to be commented/criticised ;) (I dont want to open a bug just for this)
The problem is, that, as I am not sgml known I can only provide the plaint text entries. I think the extra numbering of the titles would be appropriat, as currently the paragraph 5.8 is ``Release Notes'' (on powerpc. 5.7 on i386 respectively). And it says that the release notes would be the very first requester you are seeing after starting the installation system, which is obviously wrong, as you have told me that the language selection requesters will be the first ones. Maybe this sentence does also have to be corrected iin the "Release Notes" section. And I don't have a clue about sgml header-id's and so forth. I am very sorry about the problems which have occurred above, so I hope my small contribution is still useful for you! I've made a english and a german version (as my native language is german). If you think the english version is too bad, maybe an official translator could make a proper english version out of my german one. PS: No, I am not using the x.y.z versioning scheme for this text ;) ------------------ English Text V2 ------------------ 5.8 Localising the Installation Process 5.8.1 "Choose The Language" As the first step of the Installation you have to select the language in which you want the installation process to take place. 5.8.2 "Choose Language Variant" If the above selected language is being spoken in multiple geographic regions you are now presented with the region selection requester, in which you can choose the exact language region. 5.8.3 How the above made selections are being used The information you provided in the previous two sections will be used, besides the adaptation of the installation language, to, on the one hand, default you to a suitable keyboard layout, and on the other hand, to default you to a Debian Mirror Server close to your whereabout. You can directly alter those default values during the installation hassle-free in the respective requesters. All keyboard layouts as well as all Debian Mirrors are still available! Solely a default will be preselected. ------------------------------------------ -- Bye, Andi -- To UNSUBSCRIBE, email to [EMAIL PROTECTED] with a subject of "unsubscribe". Trouble?
