Package: os-prober Version: 1.79 Severity: normal X-Debbugs-Cc: tom....@quantentunnel.de
Dear Maintainer, I tried to use a text-based syslog (rsyslogd) exclusivly. The start-script for journald was "masked" in systemd speak. Can not remember os-prober's exact error message (somewhat missing "/dev/log"). Result was: only the installed debian appeared in grub's menue (it's my productive system; there are Arch, Gentoo and fmw for playing around). With journald unmasked again, os-prober is working too. If you do not want to call it a bug, it is an unnecessary dependency on sytemd. Anyway, thanks for your effort.
