Hmm, I wonder why the text is truncated at all... The whole text from the template file looks like this: "The installer is now overwriting ${DEVICE} with random data to prevent meta-information leaks from the encrypted volume. This step may be skipped by cancelling this action, albeit at the expense of a slight reduction of the quality of the encryption." So I guess the suggested shortage does not fix the whole problem, and I would not consider changing the template in this situation.
