+1 as I just ran into https://bugs.debian.org/cgi-bin/bugreport.cgi?bug=971946 which is the same problem as mentioned above, but now for bullseye. I feel inclined to raise the severity as the original problem was reported in 2009 and in 2021 the problem still exists, just with a different value. So close to the freeze, I'm guessing a 'quick fix' will probably have to do, but a permanent fix would really be welcome. But I'll leave it up to the maintainer(s) to raise the severity.
