I guess the report was based on e.g. https://buildd.debian.org/status/fetch.php?pkg=debian-installer&arch=amd64&ver=20200314&stamp=1584184547&raw=0 which shows python getting installed for the build. But https://buildd.debian.org/status/fetch.php?pkg=debian-installer&arch=amd64&ver=20201202&stamp=1606924683&raw=0 doesn't show it, so I guess it was a transitive dep that got fixed. Samuel
