For me personally, I would support the addition of Gnome Flashback. The Unity and gnome-shell concepts had shown high potential of polarizing the community, and a relevant amount of people chose to stay on the old gnome2 concept. Which is why Gnome Flashback came up :-) So +1 for this. Commenting on the implementation of this: I don't get the advantages of dividing Gnome into two tasks (task-gnome-common and task-gnome-desktop). Looks not easier to me. Why not leave the original Gnome desktop untouched and simply add the packages we want in Gnome Flashback?
