Hi, I did have the same issue trying to install Debian 9 or 10 : installer get stuck while "discover installed amd64".
I successful got over this issue since I've changed in the BIOS the default OS selection from Windows 7 to Windows 8. Thanks for everyone contribution to this forum. It helped me through. A plus, Stephan
