The bug still exists in the release: https://cdimage.debian.org/debian-cd/current/amd64/iso-cd/debian-9.0.0-amd64-netinst.iso It appears only when the USB 3.0 option in VirtualBox (from VB Extension Pack) is on. It does not appears on VMWare Workstation Pro 12.
