Hello I use loadlin, rawrite2 etc. from http://http.us.debian.org/debian/dists/woody/main/disks-i386/current/dosutil s
"linux" boot image from http://http.us.debian.org/debian/dists/woody/main/disks-i386/current/bf2.4 "root.bin" from http://http.us.debian.org/debian/dists/woody/main/disks-i386/current/images- 1.44/bf2.4 I try to boot the debian install program from DOS with the command: - loadlin linux root=/dev/ram initrd=root.bin disksize=1.44 flavor=bf2.4 It fails with the message "linux, invalid compressed format (err=1)" This leads me to think that the "linux" image is corrupted. I downloaded it in binary mode, and also via ftp from a mirror site, with no luck. Can anybody help ? Cheers James -- To UNSUBSCRIBE, email to [EMAIL PROTECTED] with a subject of "unsubscribe".
