Package: installation-guide Severity: normal Control: tags -1 + patch Dear maintainer,
Fuzzy translations in PO files are used current Debian GNU/Linux Installation Guide [1,2]. [1] https://www.debian.org/releases/stable/installmanual.en.html [2] https://lists.debian.org/debian-boot/2016/05/msg00248.html I think translating messages using fuzzy translations is a bad idea. Because if translated document does not match with source document, readers will be confused. This issue is caused by script 'create_xml' [3]. 'fuzzy' entries must be eliminated from PO files just before 'po2xml' invocation (because po2xml ignores 'fuzzy' flag [4]). [3] http://anonscm.debian.org/viewvc/d-i/trunk/manual/scripts/create_xml?view=markup [4] https://lists.debian.org/debian-boot/2016/05/msg00330.html I attached a patch to fix this issue. It would be appreciated if someone review and merge it when you think the concept is reasonable.
