Package: debootstrap Version: 1.0.72 Severity: normal **********
I'm trying to setup a ppc64 QEMU chroot. I'm not sure if PPC64 is available, but I usually get a different error when its not available. The following packages are already installed: qemu binfmt-support qemu-user-static debootstrap. Other chroot's exist, including X32, S/390 and ARMEL. su - password: # qemu-debootstrap --arch=ppc64 --keyring /usr/share/keyrings/debian-archive-keyring.gpg --variant=buildd --exclude=debfoster debian-ppc64 http://ftp.debian.org/debian I: Running command: debootstrap --arch ppc64 --foreign --keyring /usr/share/keyrings/debian-archive-keyring.gpg --variant=buildd --exclude=debfoster debian-ppc64 http://ftp.debian.org/debian /usr/sbin/debootstrap: 399: cd: can't cd to http://ftp.debian.org ********** # uname -a Linux debian-8-x64 4.2.0-1-amd64 #1 SMP Debian 4.2.1-2 (2015-09-27) x86_64 GNU/Linux # lsb_module -su: lsb_module: command not found ********** # apt-cache show debootstrap Package: debootstrap Status: install ok installed Priority: extra Section: admin Installed-Size: 236 Maintainer: Debian Install System Team <debian-boot@lists.debian.org> Architecture: all Version: 1.0.72 Depends: wget Recommends: gnupg, debian-archive-keyring Description-en: Bootstrap a basic Debian system debootstrap is used to create a Debian base system from scratch, without requiring the availability of dpkg or apt.
