Package: debian-installer Version: 8.0 Severity: important Dear Maintainer,
After installing a fresh Jessie install, I tried to start quodlibet and noticed that I was getting no sound. I traced this to the gstreamer plugin for pulseaudio not being installed. While quodlibet does not necessarily pull this package in (as it's only necessary when pulseaudio is installed and that isn't always the case), I suspect it should be added to the package install list for the xfce desktop environment, as gstreamer and quod libet are included. I was able to resolve my problem by installing gstreamer1.0-pulseaudio. I expected the necessary packages to be installed without having to go hunting for it myself. -- System Information: Debian Release: 8.0 APT prefers testing-updates APT policy: (500, 'testing-updates'), (500, 'testing'), (1, 'experimental') Architecture: amd64 (x86_64) Foreign Architectures: i386 Kernel: Linux 3.16.0-4-amd64 (SMP w/8 CPU cores) Locale: LANG=en_US.utf8, LC_CTYPE=en_US.utf8 (charmap=UTF-8) Shell: /bin/sh linked to /bin/dash Init: systemd (via /run/systemd/system) -- To UNSUBSCRIBE, email to debian-boot-requ...@lists.debian.org with a subject of "unsubscribe".
