severity 757413 serious I can confirm this bug. A line for /dev/usb0 in /etc/fstab breaks mounting under KDE because any USB stick gets mounted at /media/usb0 as root and read-only for user before KDE can mount it at /meda/user/LABEL. Worse, the same problem occurs in a Gnome sessions.
I have recently installed three Jessie systems and it turns out that such a line was left in /etc/fstab on the one machine where I had inserted an USB stick with firmware when I was prompted to do so during installation: /dev/sdd1 /media/usb0 auto rw,user, noauto 0 0 This line is absent on the other two machines where I didn't need any firmware. This bug is serious since it breaks other packages, notably it completely breaks USB stick mounting for ordinary users in the default desktop environment. I suppose the line in /etc/fstab ought to be removed after the debian-installer is finished with the firmware.
