Default for newly created partition tables seemed to be good old msdos partition table, which could not be changed. So I decided to keep the partition table, previously created with linux mint and just reformat it. Later I recognized, that "advanced installer" would have given me that choice. I guess this way would have been better for me. (I used gentoo linux, before ;) But this is no real problem. 2) After installation, my onboard sound card (Mainboard: Asus Z97-A) did not play sounds with the speakers connected to the standard audio connectors (green/black/orange). I had to manually reconfigure the default soundcard in alsa ".asoundrc" to "card PCH": > http://alsa-project.org/main/index.php/Asoundrc#The_default_plugin (Linux Mint Live DVD "linuxmint-17.1-mate-64bit.iso" plays sound on this pc out of the box.) Now all works fine! Thanks for the great work! Regards, Peter -- To UNSUBSCRIBE, email to debian-boot-requ...@lists.debian.org with a subject of "unsubscribe". Trouble?
