This has happened to me again. It appears to happen any time the installer, in 'expert mode' (haven't tried normal mode), gets to "Starting up the partitioner" after making certain kinds of changes to encrypted volumes. I don't know what the set of those changes is, though.
Again the same couple mke2fs statements in the log, followed by the same segfault with different ip and sp.
