Package: nano-tiny Version: All, I guess. Severity: serious Hello,
While testing nano and nano-tiny 1.0.8, which should fix #127634, I found that if slang1-utf8 is installed, nano-tiny does weird things. It's reproducible in 1.1.5 in unstable and presumably 1.0.6-2 too. Execute nano-tiny with that package installed, and type normally. Type an 8bit character, and the fun starts: you stop seeing what you write, and the editor becomes basically unusable. Remove the named package and nano-tiny is happy again. When building, you get this: dpkg-shlibdeps: warning: diversions involved - output may be incorrect diversion by slang1-utf8 from: /lib/libslang.so.1 dpkg-shlibdeps: warning: diversions involved - output may be incorrect diversion by slang1-utf8 to: /lib/libslang-noutf8.so.1 I have tried building nano with and without slang1-utf8 and slang1-utf8-dev (all 3 combinations) and no luck. I hope someone can point at a solution, or tell me this isn't happening in the floppies, so I can just Conflict: slang8-utf8 or whatever.
