Congratulations to all Debian Team from a enthusiastic and experienced Debian User. - Problems: just one (from dmesg 1st and 2nd boot) 32.720377 systemd[1]: Cannot add dependency job for unit display-manager.service, ignoring: Unit display-manager.service failed to load: No such file or directory. <Description of the install, in prose, and any thoughts, comments and ideas you had during the initial install.> - Description of the install: Drive upgrade from HDD to SDD. First instalation on new SSD drive. Full encrypted instalation of "Jessie" with boot + / (crypt) + /home (crypt) partitions also full encrypted instalation of "Sid" with boot + / (crypt) + /home (crypt) partitions. Swap partition at one 8 GB SD card, for both O.S's, inserted in laptop's card reader. User of such Dell laptop since 2.008, upgrading from HDD drive with non-encrypted Debian Stable 7.7 Wheezy and non-encrypted Debian Unstable Sid. Debian user since 2.004. - Comments: I'll try to solve the systemd problem manually - Ideas: Three or four ideas for SSD drives implementations at Hardware Detection Proccess for unexperienced users. The most simple is the "Queue Disk Scheduler" automatically changed from CBQ to DEADLINE, for SSD drives, including the simple script method at /etc/udev/rules.d: 60-schedulers.rules # set deadline scheduler for non-rotating disks ACTION=="add|change", KERNEL=="sd[a-z]", ATTR{queue/rotational}=="0", ATTR{queue/scheduler}="deadline" Please Jessie Team, consider to include such script on new ISOs, if possible The other things (swappiness, trimming, tmpfs, etc.) I dont now, nowadays, how to do automatically when SSD's drives are detected, just manually. -- To UNSUBSCRIBE, email to debian-boot-requ...@lists.debian.org with a subject of "unsubscribe".
