Tried wheezy and the daily jessie (22-Sep-2014). Wheezy could not install. All Jessie's install but hang after selecting debian in grub2.
Ubuntu 14.10 Beta1 installs and runs fine so far. Hooray! Maybe it's *Ubuntu's* 3.16 kernel? Or perhaps the lack of loaded firmware (known bug in current jessie beta's). May try Debian again when that issue is resolved.
