Bug report "boot.img now creates a 1 GB filesystem, no longer 256 MB"
The mentioned changings are already fixed in the manual.
But the increase of the boot.img leads to another change in the d-i manual.
"4.3.3. Manually copying files to the USB stick — the flexible way" says:
One advantage of using this method is that — if the capacity of your
USB stick is large enough — you have the option of copying a full
CD ISO image to it.
This is no longer true, since also the 'easy way' method documented in
"4.3.2. Manually copying files to the USB stick" now allows to copy
full CD images, because of the 1G filesystem.
So if noone objects, I would apply the following patch (and close this bug):
