Hi. Could this issue also affect the grub installer udeb? When testing Debian Edu based on Jessie, I had to manually partition to work around the automatic lvm partition issue, but at the end of the installation grub was unable to find the file system partitions. I could install lilo, but the installed system did not boot at the end. :( I have not had time to investigate further.
