The hd-media image is used for starting a system from USB. For example, the hd-media image from: ftp://ftp.de.debian.org/debian/dists/wheezy/main/installer-amd64/20130430/images/hd-media/ In case of no available iso image on the USB, the debian installer has to be loaded from network. The path for loading the debian installer has to be entered manually. Or better, the path can be entered with boot parameter. Example of path: ftp://ftp.de.debian.org/debian/dists/wheezy/main Hopefully, my idea to improve the debian installer is clearly described. If not, please let me know.
