Package: debian-installer Version: 20130613 Severity: normal Dear Maintainer,
the installer for Debian Wheezy 7.1 ignores the "suite" argument. Steps to reproduce: * Download 7.1 installer * Run it in QEMU (or wherever) * When isolinux appears, hit "Tab" and add "suite=testing" to the commands * Run the installation What happens: * When it comes to setting up APT, the Wheezy package list is downloaded (as observed with Wireshark) and the system ends up being a Wheezy installation Expected behaviour: * The Jessie list should be downloaded, and I should end up with a Jessie installation Further information: /proc/cmdline contains the new argument, so passing it to the kernel worked fine. If I add "protocol=ftp", the mirror setup asks for an FTP server and directory, so (other) options are passed to the kernel correctly. I also tried "mirror/suite=jessie" and various other combinations, to no avail. Kind regards, Ralf -- To UNSUBSCRIBE, email to debian-boot-requ...@lists.debian.org with a subject of "unsubscribe".
