Dear Debian Bughunters: This, for me, raises the question of when I should report what, followed by, "How, adequately?"
I've got a dev setup that pretty much lets me bang away until something works, then take snapshots when something interesting happens (e.g., major package install finishes, run out of room on the vm, &c). But the box I'm working on is a hand-me down, with mint as the can-opener, in which I run virtualbox, to acheive an approximation of "pure stable". I would be delighted with feedback, off and on list, but the idea is to contribute back, upstream, at least as good as I found it.
