I tried to reproduce the bug with debian-wheezy-DI-b2-amd64-netinst.iso in a virtual machine.
Both cases were not reproducable. In the actions there is a switching between shell and installer menu and maybe the installer is not aware of the changes made in the shell but i cannot reproduce the error. I think the bug can be closed.
