FWIW the people/pkern/ipv6 branch is Matt Palmer's patchset rebased on the current netcfg. It mostly works, it just has a few quirks still (wrt DHCPv6 handling) and is quite intrusive (50+ patches, too). So it probably won't make wheezy. Just saying that working code exists.
