Package: tasksel Version: 3.10 Severity: normal Dear Maintainer,
Ever since tasksel 3.10, installation of the kde desktop task brings in synaptic. given that it sticks out visually like a sore thumb and that there is alternatives available actually doing a integrated job, it would be much preferred to have that available. A much better integrated solution for wheezy would be 'apper'. While apper has some drawbacks in a few cases, it is overall givings a better experience for most of the cases. and a side effect is that only the installation bits is run as root, whereas the gui is run as user. /Sune -- System Information: Debian Release: wheezy/sid APT prefers unstable APT policy: (500, 'unstable'), (500, 'testing'), (1, 'experimental') Architecture: i386 (i686) Kernel: Linux 3.2.0-2-686-pae (SMP w/4 CPU cores) Locale: LANG=en_DK.ISO-8859-15, LC_CTYPE=en_DK.ISO-8859-15 (charmap=ISO-8859-15) Shell: /bin/sh linked to /bin/dash Versions of packages tasksel depends on: ii aptitude 0.6.8-1 ii debconf [debconf-2.0] 1.5.44 ii liblocale-gettext-perl 1.05-7+b1 pn tasksel-data <none> tasksel recommends no packages. tasksel suggests no packages. -- To UNSUBSCRIBE, email to debian-boot-requ...@lists.debian.org with a subject of "unsubscribe".
