The speech synthesis option seems to get the proper keymap layout picked, with alpha 1. That's not the case with a freshly-built netboot-gtk image (against testing), with the following packages: localudebs/console-setup-linux-charmaps-udeb_1.80_all.udeb localudebs/console-setup-linux-fonts-udeb_1.80_all.udeb localudebs/console-setup-udeb_1.80_all.udeb (picking French/France/French) With the same choices in G-I w/o speech synthesis, the proper layout is set in X, but not in the console.
