When a device needs a non-free package, there is a message saying something
like "some devices may need additonnal modules,so put them in now". We can
think that this is a generic pop-up and skip it. It should specify the device
name and missing module(it can be done, since the information is right in the
console log).

I suppose that you're referring to hw-detect/load_media
Load missing drivers from removable media?
and not to hw-detect/load_firmware
Load missing firmware from removable media?
The missing firmware files are: ${FILES}
hw-detect/load_media is only ever displayed when:
* No hard disk could be detected at all.
* No network device could be detected at all.
In these cases, the installer is grasping at straws. Possibly a non-free
kernel driver could be used, but there's no master list of such drivers,
all it can do at this point is to prompt for a driver, which would
in theory be provided by a hardware manufacturer. So the
hw-detect/load_firmware prompt cannot possibly tell you what the right
driver would be.
