With linux-image-686-pae the 30_os-prober section of grub.cfg still does not have any entries for a Linux OS but a Windows Vista OS is detected and recorded, Then, on replacing 50mounted-tests in /target/usr/lib/linux-boot-probes/ with the corresponding one from os-prober 1.42, the expected grub.cfg is generated.
