I replaced grub-installer and os-prober.sh with the patched files on a
running installer started with 'recommends=false'. With network
connectivity os-prober was pulled in and a grub.cfg generated with it.
Without the network configured 30_otheros was used to populate grug.cfg.

This is probably what you intended to happen. The syslogs are available
if required.
