We already have "multi-arch" CDs of course, but that means a different thing: we include each binary package that's needed for *all* architectures on the CD. It's on my list to look into a different style of build there. debian-cd already tracks its internal list of packages needed as $arch:$component:$package, so it's not looking *too* hard for me to explicitly pull in packages from other architectures as needed.
