I do not remember which keyboard I connected back at the time I
commented on this bug. I connected my good old Cherry PS/2 keyboard
after installation was complete, after using a spare keyboard during
installation.
If needed I can check if the problem still applies today with a random
USB keyboard. I am quite sure that the kind of keyboard does not really
make a difference.
It is likely that the keyboard was the one that came with the mouse I am
currently using, so here is the relevant lsusb output:
Bus 004 Device 002: ID 046d:c52b Logitech, Inc. Unifying Receiver
I guess the kernel module is hid_logitech.
