Package: debian-installer-launcher Version: 5 Severity: grave Justification: renders package unusable
Using the debian-live-6.0.0-amd64-lxde-desktop.iso, I tried to install using the debian-installer-launcher which is placed on the desktop. However, the installation option "configure the package manager" doesn't work. When restarting afterwards, I am brought to a grub rescue prompt. I guess it's not a debian-installer bug, because when using the graphical install method at boot of the live-dvd, instead of using debian-installer- launcher, the system is not broken, because configure the package manager does work in this case (this means grub is normally started and the newly installed system afterwards also). -- System Information: Debian Release: 6.0 APT prefers squeeze-updates APT policy: (500, 'squeeze-updates'), (500, 'stable') Architecture: amd64 (x86_64) Kernel: Linux 2.6.32-5-amd64 (SMP w/2 CPU cores) Locale: LANG=en_US.UTF-8, LC_CTYPE=en_US.UTF-8 (charmap=UTF-8) Shell: /bin/sh linked to /bin/dash Versions of packages debian-installer-launcher depends on: ii debconf [debconf-2.0] 1.5.36.1 Debian configuration management sy ii lxterminal [x-terminal-emulat 0.1.8-2 desktop independent vte-based term ii psmisc 22.11-1 utilities that use the proc file s ii xterm [x-terminal-emulator] 261-1 X terminal emulator Versions of packages debian-installer-launcher recommends: ii kexec-tools 1:2.0.1-4 kexec tool for kexec reboots debian-installer-launcher suggests no packages. -- debconf information excluded -- To UNSUBSCRIBE, email to debian-boot-requ...@lists.debian.org with a subject of "unsubscribe".
