Package: debootstrap Version: 1.0.26 Severity: minor debootstrap currently defaults to ftp.us.debian.org for the mirror. This is not a particularly good default for anyone outside the US.
cdn.debian.net would be a better default, since it automatically chooses the mirror closest to the user. Would it be possible to default to that? -- System Information: Debian Release: 6.0 APT prefers stable APT policy: (500, 'stable') Architecture: amd64 (x86_64) Kernel: Linux 2.6.32-5-amd64 (SMP w/2 CPU cores) Locale: LANG=en_GB.UTF-8, LC_CTYPE=en_GB.UTF-8 (charmap=UTF-8) Shell: /bin/sh linked to /bin/dash Versions of packages debootstrap depends on: ii wget 1.12-2.1 retrieves files from the web Versions of packages debootstrap recommends: ii gnupg 1.4.10-4 GNU privacy guard - a free PGP rep debootstrap suggests no packages. -- no debconf information -- To UNSUBSCRIBE, email to debian-boot-requ...@lists.debian.org with a subject of "unsubscribe".
