While installing Debian using d-i 6.0rc1, on the "grub-installer/bootdev", I answered by an empty value. The installation seems to go well but in fact grub was not installed on any disk or partition. And so the reboot failed with a blinking underscore. I solved this issue by booting the CD in recovery mode and running "grub- install /dev/sda". This is not an easy fix for a newbie, and I suggest to forbid empty value for this question.
