Shouldn't you also point to the installer images on the mirrors? (Like [1].) Sadly on s390 there's not much use in fetching CD disc images. Single disk installations (I already reported a successful installation recently) are still working[2]. This means that installing with "everything in /" in a single partition DASD works. The bootloader is correctly written, the reboot works and networking is available post-boot. Diverting from that partitioning looks like a fair bit of pain, though. But as I'm still learning about how to setup VMs I'm not actually sure if I DTRT with the /boot partition I tried to create. At least ext2-fs tells me that the blocksize is too small for the device, when d-i put a filesystem on it, thus leading to EINVAL upon mounting. But well, a single disk install that works well is enough to fix it up post-install. Kind regards Philipp Kern [1] http://ftp.de.debian.org/debian/dists/squeeze/main/ [2] I used the generic image with z/VM. -- To UNSUBSCRIBE, email to debian-boot-requ...@lists.debian.org with a subject of "unsubscribe".
