Note that there is a RM: request on uboot-mkimage already; see Debian #603373, but Luca raises this very build-dep as a blocker for removal! Catch-22 :-) I'm personally just a bit worried that this mini-transition is happening in unstable, preventing further updates to testing via unstable once it's done (I don't expect we will switch to u-boot's mkimage before release).
