Hi,

Booting the installation CD (non-US) of debian 2.2 r3 fails on my
spare machine (AMD K6-2, 500MHz, IDE-only machine with 2 hard disks,
128 M RAM, ATAPI IDE DVD cdrom drive). The kernel looks for scsi
devices that are not present (as far as I can tell, and that it
cannot find) and hangs on the sym53c416.c V1.0.0 message
(NCR53c406a). How do I disable the scsi probing or otherwise proceed
with booting?

Look forward to your reply.
